Scotty Denver Owens, 65, of Akron, Indiana passed 12:49 pm, Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021 at his residence.
Scotty was born on Jan. 16, 1956 at his family home in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Corbit and Vinnitte (Meade) Owens. He lived in Paintsville until 1987 when he moved to Silver Lake, Ind.
He married on Feb. 9 1996 to Sandy Ann Bousman, she survives, and they resided in Akron. He worked for Dalton Foundry and Shepherd Salvage. He was a loving father, grandfather, and husband. He will be missed by his friends and family.
He is survived by his wife Sandy Ann Owens of Akron, Ind.; Denver Jay and wife Penny Owens of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Denny Lee and wife Taryn Owens of Ft. Wayne, Ind. and Bazle Owens of Akron, Ind.; daughter Crystall Owens and fiancé Jeremy of Gallatin, Tenn.; step children Chris and wife Emilee Felton of Plymouth, Ind., Ronald Felton of Akron, Ind., and Scotty Felton of Akron, Ind.; 17 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren on the way; along with his brothers Troy and wife Tammy Owens, Mike and wife Michelle Owens, and Jessie Owens.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Josephine Collins and Judy Hatfield-Owens; and brother Bobby-Dean Owens.
Visitation is scheduled on Thursday at the Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church from 1 P.M. until 9 P.M. Funeral Services are scheduled for 12 Noon Friday January 29, 2021 at the Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church. Interment to follow in the family cemetery at Oil Springs.
