Sara Ann Cooley Butcher, 76 the daughter of James Orville & Gladys Parsley Cooley, passed from this life on Saturday Jan. 23, 2021 at Highlands ARH Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Sara is survived by her husband of 52 years Charles (Joe- Bob) Butcher. She is also survived by two brothers Julian B. Cooley (Vicky) of Wisconsin and David Cooley (Gaye) of Prestonsburg, KY. Also surviving are two daughters (by - proxy) Lisa Ann Cooley Hall (Ray) of Allen, KY and Deborah Gaye Conn (Mike) and one granddaughter (by - proxy) Amanda Louise Conn of Prestonsburg, KY, and one very special friend Melissa Webb of Oil Springs, KY. She was preceded in death by both parents. Sara was a clerk for Brown Produce Co. where she was employed for more than twenty years. She was an avid line dancer and a member of Little Bit of Country Line Dancing Club for many years, and a member of Prestonsburg Church Of God. Friends may visit the Preston Funeral Home on Sunday January 24, 2021 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. and after 9 A.M. Monday. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday January 25, 2021 at 11 A.M. in the chapel of the Preston Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Richmond Memorial Cemetery in Prestonsburg, KY.
