Willie Ray Crabtree, age 78 of River died Thursday July 22, he was born on Nov. 25, 1931 to the late Earl & Mary Dowdy Crabtree. Willard E. Bailey age 90 died Thursday July 22. Willard was born March 14, 1920 to the late Estill & Molly Wright Bailey. Willard was a member of The Father’s House of Prayer, he was also a retired auto mechanic with the Kentucky State Highway Department and he served with the United States Navy. Willard is survived by his wife Hazel Williams Bailey and 1 daughter Patricia Meade of Flat Gap, 3 grandchildren 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday July 22 from 7 P.M. to 9 P.M. and Friday July 23 from 12 P.M. to 9 P.M. at The Father’s House of Prayer at Flat Gap. Funeral services will be held Saturday July 24 at 11 A.M. at The Father’s House of Prayer, with George Meade, Earl Wright, and Kenny Wright officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville.
Donarvan Creed Webb, 8 weeks old died Saturday July 17. The son of Martin Webb and Rhonda Loray Sperars of Van Lear. Donavun is also survived by his maternal grandparents Donnie Lee & Rebecca Spears of Prestonsburg, great grandmother Stella Snitzhler of Ridgefield, OH, 3 brothers Steven Reffitt, Gabrill Spears, and Adam Webb all of Van Lear. Bonnie R. Spencer age 85 died Thursday July 15. Bonnie was born on December 31, 1924 to the late Byrd Oliver & Mahala Trimble Preston, and the widow of Elmer Spencer. Dora Fairchild Goble age 95, died Thursday July 8, she was born on August 2, 1914 to the late Enoch & Samantha Johnson Fairchild. Dora is survived by 2 sons Clyde Horne, Jr. and Tom Horne both of Hager Hill, 1 daughter Iva Joy Ratliff of Ashville, OH, 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 20 great great grandchildren, and 4 great great great grandchildren. Clara Faye Fyffe, age 95 of Flat Gap died Wednesday July 7. Clara was born June 12 1915 to the late John Edward & Lelia Williams Thomas. Clara is survived by 8 daughters Marilyn Stambaugh of Sitka, Phyllis Bryant of Inez, Betty McBride, Kathleen Hamilton and Gloria Fyffe all of OH, Deloris Lavender, Charlotte Kitchen and Carolyn Pelphrey all of FL, 23 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren. Visitation is from 2 P.M. to 9 P.M. of Friday at the funeral home. Funeal services will be held at the Flat Gap Baptist Church on Saturday July 10 at 1 P.M., with Harold Salyers officiating.
