Ruth C. Rigsby, age 92, of Paintsville died Monday February 19, 2018. She was born October 16, 1925 in Tutor Key to the late Russell and Eula Daniel Castle. On December 25, 1944 in Paintsville she married William LeFrance Rigsby who precedes her in death. Additionally preceding her in death is one son Billy Rigsby. Survivors include: one son: James Michael Rigsby of Charleston, WV; one daughter: Leneda Fuller of Paintsville; two brothers: Ray Bob Castle of Tutor Key, Richard Joe Castle of Salyersville; one sister: Janet Sue Pack of Tutor Key; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Ruth was a member of the Paintsville United Baptist Church and was a collection supervisor for Citizens National Bank. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday February 20, 2018 at the Preston Funeral Home from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Wednesday February 21, 2018 at the Paintsville United Baptist Church with visitation beginning at 9 A.M. at the church. Chris Rowland and Fred Salyer will officiate. Burial will follow at the Mayo Cemetery in Paintsville.

Jeannetta May MeekJeannetta Mae Meek age 66, died Wednesday February 14, 2018.  She was born July 19, 1951 to the late William and Gladys Wheeler Meek.  Jeannetta is survived by one son Mark Anthony Davis of Boise, ID, four brothers Richard Meek of Paintsville, KY, William Meek of Thelma, KY, Clifford Meek of Wittensville, KY, Charles Meek of Thealka , KY one grand son Mark Andrew.  Visitation will be Saturday from 1 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Sunday at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel, with Timothy Meek and Travis Tackett officiating.  Burial will follow in the Sparks Cemetery Thelma, KY.

Lindsay VanHooseLindsay Marlene VanHoose, age 40 of Paintsville, died Saturday February 10, 2018. She was born October 27, 1977 in Prestonsburg, KY to Bob and the late Patricia Tackett VanHoose. Lindsay is survived by 1 son: Ethan Meek of Wittensville, 2 daughters: Alexandera Faith Fairchild-LeMaster of Hager Hill, Jocylyn Meek of Wittensville, 1 sister: Trisha Jackson of Salyersville, and 2 half brothers: Nicholas VanHoose and Jody McKenzie. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Thursday, February 15 at the Hager Hill Free Will Baptist Church with Ronnie Spriggs officiating. Friends may visit the church on Wednesday from 12 noon until 9 P.M. and after 9 A.M. Thursday. Burial will follow at the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear.

Patty VanHoosePatricia VanHoose, age 57 of Paintsville, died Saturday February 10, 2018. She was born May 2, 1961 to Walker & Linda King Tackett. Patricia is also survived by 1 son: Jody McKenzie of Flat Gap, 1 daughter: Trisha Jackson of Salyersville, 1 brother: Emmons Tackett, 1 sister: Elizabeth Mason, and 3 grandchildren. Patricia is preceded in death by 1 daughter: Lindsay VanHoose. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Thursday, February 15, at the Hagerhill Free Will Baptist Church with Ronnie Spriggs officiating. Friends may visit the church on Wednesday from 12 noon until 9 P.M. and after 9 A.M. Thursday. Burial will follow in the Cumbo Cemetery at West Van Lear.

cherub Hunter Nicholas Myers, infant son of Aaron and Mary Frances Myers, died February 6, 2018. Additional survivors include: 1 brother: Jaxon Myers, 1 sister: Ariel Myers, his Paternal Grandmother Donna Daniels, his Maternal Grandparents: Matthew & Yvonne Webb Grimm and his Maternal Great Grandmother: Emma Grimm. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 P.M. Friday February 9 at the Bradley Free Will Baptist Church in Salyersville with Randy Haney officiating. Friends may visit the church after 10 A.M. Friday. Burial will follow in the Roy L. Grim Cemetery at Flat Gap, KY.

Mitchell V. CastleMitchell Vencil Castle, age 82 of Lowmansville, died Monday February 5, 2018. He was born February 27, 1935 in Lowmansville, KY to the late Mitchell & Liddie Vanhoose Castle. Mitchell was a retired truck driver and a member of the Pigeon Enterprise Baptist Church. On December 14, 1955 in Springfield, OH. he married Verlean Salyers Castle who survives his death. Also surviving are 2 sons: Stephen R. Castle and Ricky Lee Castle, both of Lowmansville, 2 daughters: Teresa Clay and Beverly Kay Castle both of Nippa, 3 sisters: Aletta Edmonson of Ohio, Helen Bryant of Circleville, OH., and Virginia Sluss of Inez, 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by 2 brothers: Francis Castle and Johnny James Castle. Friends may visit the Preston Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6 P.M. until 9 P.M. and after 9 A.M. Wednesday. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Wednesday February 7 in the Preston Funeral Chapel with Bruce Aaron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois April 5, 1959 to the late Clifford Dale and Mary Louise Russell Glover. On December 23, 2009 in Pikeville, he married Kimberly Hills who survives his death. Additional survivors include 1 son: Isaiah Glover;  1 step son: Larry Newsome, 6 daughters: Brianna Glover, Olivia Newsome, Haley Newsome, Selena Newsome, Jamie Rigo and Lisa Hutt. Also surviving is a special daughter: Marley Johnson, 1 brother: Wendell Glover, 1 sister: Robin Glover, and 6 grandchildren. Clifford is also survived by the mother of his children Ruby Smith.  Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday in the Preston Funeral Chapel. Visitation is scheduled for Sunday from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and after 9  a.m. Monday at the Preston Funeral Home.

She was born January 17, 1959 in Paintsville to the late Harold and Ruby Johnson Conley. Teresa was a secretary for Big Sandy Community Action Program. Surviving her death is one son: David Bradley Blackburn of Hager Hill; one daughter: Patricia Stumbo of Hager Hill; one brother: Harold Dean Conley of Hager Hill; three sisters: Susie Bass of Staffordsville, Sheila Workman of Thomaston, GA, Debbie Cantrell of Hager Hill; and five grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled on Monday from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M., on Tuesday from 12 noon until 8 P.M., and after 9 A.M. Wednesday at the Preston Funeral Home.  Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 A.M. Wednesday January 31, 2018 in the Preston Funeral Chapel with Jim McKenzie and Hobart Meek officiating. Burial to follow at the Highland Memorial Cemetery at Staffordsville, KY.

Darrel Campbell, age 76 of Sitka, died Wednesday January 24, 2018. Darrel was born May 15, 1941 in Blaine, KY to the late Bascom & Ada May Kimbler Campbell. He was a retired truck driver for Caudill Trucking. Darrel is survived by 1 son: Ricky Campbell of Sitka, 1 brother: Farrel Campbell of Sitka, 3 sisters: Beatrice Castle of Ohio, Delia (Janie) Bunker of Ohio, and Roberta Castle of Sitka, 3 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. At the request of the family, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
