Bobby proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Bobby was an Auto Parts Manager and a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. Norton DanielNorton Daniel, age 92 of Thelma, died Thursday July 13, 2017. Norton was born May 25, 1925 in Paintsville, KY to the late Frank and Mahalia Preston Daniel. Norton was a retired Maintenance Worker for the City of Paintsville and a member of the West Van Lear Free Will Baptist Church. Norton was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Faye Conley Daniel, 1 son Fred Norton Daniel Sr. and two grand children.  Norton is survived by 3 sons: Earl Dean Daniel of Thelma, Charles David Daniel of Meally, and John Anthony Daniel of Thelma: 5 daughters; Rita Brooks of Thelma, Patricia Hall of Van Lear, Anita Cole of Lakeland Fl., Ivory Castle of Paintsville, and Janet Richmond of Clarksville, TN: 1 half sister; Bonnie Skeets of New Lano, LA; 1 step sister Peggy Keeler of Buffalo, NY; 26 Grandchildren, 39 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. Juanita CollinsJuanita Sue Collins age 70, of Paintsville, died Monday July 10, 2017.  She was born June 11, 1947 to the late Glenn and Amanda Caudill Davis.  Juanita was a homemaker and a member of the Tutor Key Community Baptist Church.  She is survived by one son; William Dudley “Brent” Collins of Lexington, one daughter; Stacy Renee Collins, and two sisters; Anna Louise Reed of Paintsville and Virginia Reed of Paintsville.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 13th after 2 p.m. until time of services at the Tutor Key Community Baptist Church.  Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Tutor Key Community Baptist Church, with Arthur Scarberry and Todd Scarberry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Reed Cemetery at Elna, KY.

CantrellRonnie Allen Cantrell, age 66 of Hager Hill, died Wednesday July 5, 2017.  Ronnie was born Jan. 14, 1951 in Paintsville, KY to the late Arville and Ada Barker Cantrell. Ronnie was a retired educator with the Johnson County School System and a member of the Southside Free Will Baptist Church. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Joan C. Cantrell; one daughter: Angela Evans; and 2 brothers: Gordon Cantrell, and James Kendall Cantrell. Ronnie is also preceded in death by 1 son, Jeffery Cantrell. Doris Ann Wells Fannin, age 70, of Staffordsville died Tuesday June 27, 2017 at Pikeville Medical Center. She was born April 19, 1947 in Paintsville to the late Ali and Sadie Collins Wells. Carlis Vernon Mills (2)Carlos Vernon Mills, age 81 of Paintsville, died Sunday June 11, 2017.  He was born October 26, 1936 to the late Altie Mollette and Hershel Mills.  Carlis was a member of the Chestnut Grove Enterprise Baptist Church.  He is survived by his wife Cleo Brown Mills, three brothers; Clarence Mills, Archie Mills of Springfield, OH, and John Mills Tomowhawk, KY: three sisters; Mary Barton of Martin County, KY, Francis Mills of Columbus, OH, and Sandra Kay Johnson of Inez, KY. Visitation will be after 12 noon Thursday at the Preston Funeral Home with  Grave side  services to be held 2 p.m. Thursday at the Highland Memorial Park, with Roger Sparks officiating.

Nina Mae Fugitt age 88 died Thursday June 7, 2017.  She was born June 27, 1929 to the late William Edward and Edith Grace Hopkins Diley.   Nina was a teller with the Lawrence Federal Savings and Lone and a member Myrtle Ridge Baptist Church.  Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband James Elmer Fugitt, one brother Luther Dilley, and one son James Fugitt Jr.  She is survived by two daughters Brenda (Bruce) Paul of Kitts Hill, OH, Teresa Malone of Cynthia, KY, three sisters Louella Pinson of Kitts Hill, OH, Enolla Cade of Arabara, OH, Wilma Thompson of Mansfield, OH, three grand children three great grand children and two great great grand children.  Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Myrtle Ridge Baptist Church in Kitts Hill, OH. Juanita Lemaster (2)Juanita Lemaster,  age 67, died Thursday June 8, 2017 in Paintsville, KY.   She was born January 1, 1950 to the late James and Maggie Reed Tackett McCloud.  Juanita is survived by two sons; Charles Robert VanHoose of Lakeland, FL, Martin VanHoose Jr. of Lakeland, FL; one daughter, Wanda Moore of Flat Gap, and special son in law David Moore; one brother, David Tackett of Paintsville; three sisters: Billie Jean VanHoose of Brittany, OH, Stella Tackett of Paintsville, Patsy Christine Ward of Paintsville, two grand children and one great grand child.  Visitation will be held Friday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Preston Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Sunday at the Preston Funeral Home Chapel with  burial to follow in the Kimbler Cemetery at Flat Gap, KY.
